Student Council for the 2015-16 school year in under way! We are excited to see so many kids step up to be leaders at Bethke and focus on our school community becoming an even better place. At our first meeting, the kids talked about what it means to be a leader and brainstormed service project ideas. After carefully reviewing their ideas, they wrote letters to the City of Timnath to ask for the trash/dog waste receptacle to be relocated. We are so excited that the City agreed, and the kids have already seen that they can make a difference with their words and actions!!
This year, we will again participate in Cans Around Bethke, for the CSU Oval can drive. There is also the opportunity to compete for extra “pounds” at the final weigh in, by competing in something called CANstruction, where the kids will design and build a structure out of the cans we collect. Can collection will take place October 5-9!!
CANDY GRAM UPDATE:
Due to recent parent feedback, we will not be selling Boo-grams or Holiday-grams this year. We will offer Valentine-grams in February with a non-food item. Thanks for your input!!
