What a fun Wellness Day! We started our day out with an all school Zumba activity followed by an all school walk for 10 minutes. We had local clubs and companies here now throughout the morning demonstrating different activities kids can enjoy in order to stay active such as baton twirling, lacrosse, hockey, dancing, martial arts and more. FRHS athletes are here shooting hoops with kids and teaching them football moves. Ask your child today what activities they learned about and participated in. Look for more pictures on my principal’s blog.
THANKSGIVING CHANGE
Due to Bethke growing in size, an activity we have had in previous years will no longer be able to be supported by our building. We will no longer host the Thanksgiving feast in November as a whole school. We had started this activity seven years ago when we were a small building in order to establish community between our neighborhoods. It was a fun time of eating together and sharing thanks in our school and for our families. As we have grown, the challenges of hosting this event have risen. It served its purpose then, but will no longer be feasible for us to continue due to the number of people we have now. Thanks to everyone who supported this event in years past. We look forward to starting new traditions with our school population.
CLUBS
It’s been exciting to see our clubs in full swing. Odyssey of the Mind information meetings come up this month as well. We look forward to seeing all the projects and presentations this year. This morning our kids tried out the pottery wheel purchased with funds from your support of Original Works! J Boy does that look like fun! KBOB morning announcements are live every morning now. Check them out on iTunes.
Enjoy your weekend. Looks like the sun is coming back!
Go Bobcats!
